We are on a mission to power the future of travel; come join us.What does a great Product Owner do?It is the Product Owner's responsibility to ensure the team is focused, ensuring jobs to be done and the right problems to solve are understood and prioritized within the team.
Helping the team to achieve the iteration commitments, you will lead the team in achieving our goals to onboard our customers with new and emerging technical products.What will this Product Owner role involve?As a Technical Product Owner, you will be responsible for the team that builds Restful JSON APIs and authorization services to allow our customers to onboard the latest Travelport Products.
You will interact with teams that build user interfaces from the APIs your team develops as well as supporting the helpdesk to resolve customer issues.
We are on a journey to transform the Travelport onboarding experience of our products and services from a manual process to an automated and digital self-service process.Responsibilities include:Responsible for synchronizing with the Product Manager/s and other POs to ensure new work is brought into the backlog and prioritized appropriately.Responsible for creating user stories by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align the product design and development activities and to ensure everyone on the team understands the deliverable of the user story using BDD when applicable.Accountable for working with the development team/s and architecture to implement the user stories including all undocumented edge cases and non-functional requirements (performance, scale, redundancy etc.)
in appropriate artefacts to support the development effort.Responsible for participating in daily scrum, iteration planning meetings and iteration reviews to ensure product team schedules/tasks reflect the prioritized backlogs.Maintains focus on continually improving performance through lessons learned for the next iteration.Accountable for system demos at the end of every iteration.Responsible for developing deep functional product knowledge and some understanding of the technical composition of the systems that support it as well as understanding the market and maximizing value for the customer.Who we are looking for in this role:Someone who has excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and facilitate conversations that lead to agreed outcomes
