.Who are we looking for? : We are looking for a Product Owner for grid interconnection of renewable projects, with the ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment. She or he will become part of an integrated and agile team, working directly with Product Managers, product designers, frontend, backend, and algorithmic experts. This position will support the product development of the software pvDesign.The position is based in our office in Madrid and will report to the product manager of the interconnection team. You are responsible for supporting the discovery process of HV grid connection package for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage projects through their lifecycle and for defining engineering requirements with the help of our team of software engineers.- You are supporting the preliminary design/concept of substation and the definition of the substation main items.- You are supporting the preliminary design/concept of T&D line (underground lines and overhead lines) and the definition of the T&D line main items.- You are carrying out the interconnection requirement calculations to identify grid connection points in the transmission and distribution network.- Prepare, improve and validate the technical documentation (reports, bill of materials, layouts, and electrical diagrams).- You will interact with our customers to understand from a technical perspective what they expect from the software and provide engineering improvements to our development team.- You will interact with the Product Manager and undergo research to achieve a deep understanding of the technical intricacies of potential new features or tools.- You are responsible for validating the technical results of the features implemented in pvDesign.- You will collaborate with the software, customer success and business teams to frame and solve new product challenges, from both a technical and a business perspective.Required skills:3+ years of experience in conceptual design or in the development and delivery of HV infrastructure, including substations, overhead lines and underground cables, for voltage levels 45 kV, 66 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV and 400kV.Successfully completed degree: Master or PhD in Electrical/Energy/Industrial Engineering.Strong motivation to drive impact by making product improvements.Proactiveness, teamwork, and fast learning.English language working competence - C1 (ideal).Desired skills:General knowledge of the renewable developing stages, requests for proposal, tenders, manufacturers and industry.You bring comprehensive knowledge of international DNO/TSO network as well as regional and international electrical standards.Experience in preparing engineering documentation in Word/Excel and design drawings in CAD.Experience with electrical engineering platforms: PowerFactory, DIgSILENT, PLS-CADD, OpenUtilities Substations, etc.Experience with Scrum/Agile is a great advantage
