The Team:
Product Commercialization is a new team in the product organization to ensure that product investment choices are aligned with maximum market impact.
The Role:
As a member of the Product Commercialization team, you will work with product managers, strategy, and go-to-market teams to build product-centered business plans to support investment decisions and priority setting, define target segments, and support pricing decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. We are looking for a candidate with in-depth practical analytical skills, management of complex cross-functional projects from a software company, and excellent written and oral communication.
This role will report to the Product Chief Operating Officer.
The work you'll do:
Build and maintain a product-centric Total Addressable Market (TAM) perspective by segment:
Understand market segments and competitor landscape.
Follow key industry analysts and incorporate their input.
Develop practical and operational market segmentation.
Build quantitative market models to support decision making.
Derive product investment priorities based on market potential and company position:
Understand product requirements to address different pockets of market opportunities.
Evaluate potential impact of different product investment strategies to support logo acquisition, expansion, and retention.
Recommend areas of investment and priorities.
Build product-specific business cases and Go-to-Market plans.
All these activities will require broad cross-functional collaboration with multiple teams.
The qualifications you need:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven track record of 7+ years of experience in business planning, consulting, or similar roles. B2B software experience is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Facility with data analysis. Ability and motivation to quickly understand and assess various requirements and solve unique problems across multiple business domains.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and lead complex multifunctional teams to achieve results.
Entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas concisely to senior executives.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving business environment.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
