This role, based in our Dublin HQ, will play a critical part in developing a scalable, flexible, and secure platform to serve some of the world's biggest brands in retail.Working as part of a friendly and highly talented Product organisation, you will learn about the problems to solve and gather the data to decide on trade-offs and deliver new functionality to delight millions of shoppers. The role includes line management of 2 Product Owners working across 4 product teams and reports into a Senior Product Manager. You will also serve as Product Lead on a release train for the Platform teams. The communication skills to ensure understanding across a large group will be key.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing the platform's design and development. You must work closely with the technical team to ensure the platform's architecture supports scalability, modularity, and security. Guide the development process, focusing on high-impact features and improvements that enhance the platform's value proposition.Promoting the platform within and outside the organization. You must evangelize the platform's benefits to potential users, partners, and developers, driving adoption and fostering a vibrant community around your product. Additionally, you are responsible for demonstrating the value of the platform internally, securing necessary resources and buy-in from the leadership.Collaborating with other internal domains, Engineering, Architecture, and UX to understand the problems to solve and ideate on platform solutions. Sharing that understanding across the organization to ensure alignment and gather feedback.Maintaining the roadmap focused on outcomes.Maintaining an excellent understanding of platform services at ESW, working with consuming domains so they can learn about what's available.Demonstrating the value delivered by the scrum team to the stakeholders across the organization.Delivering documentation in support of internal and external process changes, planning, and budget preparations.Line manager to 2 product owners, working across 4 product teams.Essential Experience & BehavioursTechnical proficiency is a fundamental skill required for this role. A deep understanding of the platform's underlying technology stack, architecture, and system design principles is vital. You should be conversant with APIs, microservices, and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) models. Given the cross-functional nature of the role, you must possess strong leadership skills.
