People need insurance as they need banks, utilities or food. The industry as a whole exists because people want to feel safe, and protected, knowing that someone will be there when (and if) things go wrong. But, as a consumer, there are very few products that are more inconvenient than insurance (at least up until today). If you ever had to file a claim with your insurance company, you'll get it.
With technology at our core, at Cleverea we design, develop and distribute the best insurance products . We cover all that matters: homes, cars, pets, and soon people too (health and life). We are building the challenger multi line Neoinsurer in Southern Europe to disrupt a $5 trillion industry.
About the role At Cleverea we are looking for a talented Product Manager willing to face new challenges in an InsurTech startup. You'll work in a 100% digital product creating the foundations of a Neo-insurer with a multi-line approach (i.e. multiple insurance products like motorbike, car, e-scooters, home...). As a Product Manager you will have exposure to the 2 faces of our business: external and internal.
External includes the insurance products offered to our clients through Cleverea's website and mobile app and all the related features. Think of insurance purchase checkout, user dashboard, claims management, etc. Internal includes our B2C and B2B2C insurance distribution platform for partners, policies and claims handling modules, quoting and risk modules, partners APIs, etc. As a PM you will focus on owning and developing the overall product road map for your areas of responsibility. While helping on the strategic and long-term challenges the company will face.
Key responsibilities Work with our Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder on the execution of our global product vision Lead the product strategy and roadmap for several areas Work with external third parties to assess and implement partnerships (think of data providers, payment gateways, distribution channels, ERPs, etc.) Ensure alignment between leadership, product, engineering, design and cross-functional groups (e.g. sales, marketing, legal) Define the metrics and KPIs used to measure the success of the features and products your team builds Improve our current product based on solid data of product performance and market perspectives Manage and coordinate all product management related tasks you are already familiar with: ensure user stories are "ready", release tracking, backlog grooming, feature definition etc. Benchmark the competition to make sure we have a meaningful and outstanding value proposition for our customers over time Ship fast and often What you should have +3 years of relevant product management experience in a fast-growing tech company; Proven track-record in launching new products from idea to production; Excellent communicator with strong leadership skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams; Exceptional analytical skills and data-driven mindset; Problem solver and results-driven, with a can-do attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Native Spanish and proficient English required What might be a plus Experience at a VC-funded startup Previous experience in insurance Technical know-how; you have a solid understanding of how software is made and how it works Working knowledge of SQL What we offer The opportunity to challenge a whole industry from scratch A rock solid and fully committed team Brand new office in Barcelona's city centre Competitive salary matching your skills and experience Flexible working hours and remote working Flexible remuneration Stock-based compensation Quarterly team events Free coffee and snacks Employee referral program Endless opportunities for professional growth
