You will be part of the Product Management Team under the Chief Product Officer, where the team is responsible for guiding the success of the Ink product & service proposition. We define the strategy, roadmap, feature set, and holistic proposition - based on customer requirements - which will drive value for our clients and for Ink. We are responsible for aligning the cross-functional teams; as well as prioritising and making the smart trade-offs necessary to deliver on our goals. We are responsible for analysing, measuring, fine-tuning, and iterating to ensure successful product outcomes for all stakeholders.
About Ink Ink is an innovative IT company based in sunny Alicante, Spain. The company's diverse product portfolio delivers Passenger Service technology for the travel industry across three channels - Desktop, Mobile and Self Service - from our Cloud Platform.
We provide mission-critical products and services to several international aviation clients and our systems have handled over 50 million passengers for over 100 airlines in airports all over the world.
Our team thrives on the adrenaline of competing against billion-dollar companies using our ingenuity and relying on our desire to out-innovate them.
Come join us on that journey.
Job Responsibilities Engaging with existing client airlines (of all models; ULCC, LCC, Hybrid, Regional, FSC, Charter), airports and ground handlers, as well as prospective client organisations to understand their requirements and aspirations for DCS, LC and broader delivery systems within their technology ecosystems - essentially product ownership from the client perspective.
Understanding the function/feature gap between Ink's current proposition (LCC & Regional focus) and a future product portfolio which would appeal to all airline business models and for airports and handling agents alike, and defining which requirements we must develop and innovate on to most logically and cost effectively close that gap.
Thinking about Delivery Management Systems (DMS) through a new lens; focused on driving costs down, productivity up, and harvesting additional revenues for our clients (mindful of how legacy delivery processes have worked or not worked historically).
Maintain a deep and current knowledge of client marketplaces and the competitive theatre in which we must participate, with a view to driving value from best practice and differentiation.
Capture, dissect, and evaluate different competitor approaches to solving DMS requirements for the broader airline community; allowing your curiosity to imagine how we might thoughtfully disrupt the industry status quo to capitalise on innovation and emerging technologies.
Work with your colleagues in the Product, Support and Commercial teams to define the vision, initiatives, feature set, detailed requirements, and outcomes we must execute to ensure success across our client base; yet evaluating such ideas to ensure strategic alignment at the Ink company level.
Communicating vision, goals, initiatives and the 'why' to cross functional teams within Ink to ensure a clear understanding of what is to be achieved and the rationale for doing so.
Communicating to our client base, prospective clients, and external partners our Product Roadmap and rationale for the directions and priorities which we choose to make.
Communicating back to our client base, in validation workshops, our proposed development streams and detailed deliverables to ensure expectation and contractual alignment.
Feed into the Product Team the client perspective as we capture and the necessary detail to define our proposed initiatives, functions, features, requirements and outcomes.
Participating with Product colleagues to effectively prioritise internal delivery of our roadmap based on value-based product development principles; ensuring parallel prioritisation and alignment is occurring concurrently with other company workstreams to ensure that most value is delivered in our releases.
Analysing & reporting your progress and the progress of your collaborative teams in achieving the desired outcomes - delivering on Ink strategies, imperatives, OKRs/KPIs, and also meeting customer expectations on roadmap, down to the timing of specific functionalities. In a word accountability.
Assist in developing ideas and related strategies & priorities for completely green-field propositions in the travel delivery space to ensure Ink is seen to be at the forefront of DMS in the evolving 'Offer Order Settle Deliver' world and to help airlines transition away from legacy technologies and processes to drive innovation and differentiation.
Flexibility to assist in other workstreams and initiatives, beyond the primary focus, which one would expect to do in a modest, but rapidly scaling company with ambitious aspirations.
A willingness to travel to meet with clients and partners as necessary.
Experience and Qualifications 10 + years of domain experience in an aviation operating environment, maybe working with airports, airlines or ground handlers, and able to demonstrate a strong grasp of the airline ground operations processes, working environment, and the airport environment technologies.
Ideally a degree level education and an ability to demonstrate a self-motivated approach to learning and personal development.
An understanding and strong interest of how technology is harnessed in an operational environment to drive down cost; drive productivity up; or gain incremental revenues. This should be augmented by intermediate skills in personal productivity technologies such as office applications, collaboration tools, project tools, etc.
A natural ability to network, partner, and collaborate with stakeholders (internal & external) at all organisational levels. You should demonstrate your ability to facilitate effective team or project interaction, and be comfortable working with various personalities in multiple roles.
You will be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to seek out information, solve conceptual problems, organise cross-functional and cross department resources, and deliver results in challenging business and social situations.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and must be comfortable explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You should understand and not be intimidated by performance metrics (KPIs, OKRs, etc) and related performance management.
You will have a focus on quality, customer care & satisfaction, and innovation within a dynamic, high-energy operational setting where challenges are opportunities for growth.
You will be an effective multitasker with an ability to recognise urgency and establish priorities appropriately.
Ability to work under tight and changing time constraints including meeting deadlines, and willingness to invest extra effort when necessary to accomplish tasks.
