About the opportunity We are seeking a passionate Product Manager - Core Banking to join the Core Systems team in disrupting the core banking technology standards with highly configurable, modular and automated solutions that enable rapid product launches with industry leading regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
The Core Banking team is split between our Barcelona, Berlin and Vienna offices, which are the main product & tech hubs for N26 globally.
As a Product Manager in Core Banking, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the core banking infrastructure.
This function is critical to keeping our customers' money safe and securely moving money around as well as offering new financial products in a competitive and scalable manner.
In this role you will: Be responsible for the implementation of Core Banking as a part of the overall N26 architecture.
Play a pivotal role in defining the future of our core banking platform and designing a strategy to meet our long term ambitions.
Partner with stakeholders across N26 to define your team goals, roadmap and execution strategy to drive it to achieve success.
Work with other product managers, business analysts and engineers across the organization to drive long term strategic improvements to N26's core banking platform.
Ensure product rollouts are delivered successfully by working cross-functionally with local market teams, marketing, operations, compliance, and engineering.
What you need to be successful: 2+ years experience in Product Management ideally gained in a FinTech, banking environment, core banking providers (or similar).
Experience with banking or payments architecture frameworks as well as API products.
STEM, business, economics undergraduate.
MBA, MS or equivalent would be a plus.
Autonomous and adaptive operator with an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive for change and innovation.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent technical acumen, curiosity, and familiarity with new technologies, APIs, microservice architectures, and databases.
Previous experience dealing with highly engaged third party providers and working with third party vendors is a big plus.
Strong understanding of agile product development and delivery.
