Product Manager - Collision, CT & LIC

Within the Country Operational Marketing organization, reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, working with South Collision segment Manager and CT/LIC segment Manager, you will manage marketing activities related to products for all segments of the Automotive Refinish Market (Collision, CT (Commercial trucks), LIC (Like Industrial Coatings), and Sundries) to increase market shares, sales, and profit. In relation with local and central teams, your main mission will be to ensure that the product offer (Product, Price, Position, and Promotion) is aligned with customer and market needs.
Key Responsibilities Product portfolio management
Manage the full products range for Collision, CT, LIC, and Sundries segments
Implement product launches and obsolescence
Ensure with Sales teams the homologation and obsolescence of products with our main customers
Work closely with Collision and CT/LIC/Sundries South segment managers and central, regional and local technical teams to organize all product tests/field trials, benchmark, and technical analysis for both existing and new products
Pricing management
Define and manage the positioning and prices of the different brands and ranges in line with market segmentation
Ensure the consistency of the global price positioning of each product and segment
In association with Sales excellence teams, ensure that price increases are carried out properly and that PPI targets are reached
Promotions recommendation
Make recommendations for products promotions and animations to increase sales
Sales analysis
In association with Sales excellence teams, analyze on a regular basis the sales evolution of our product lines by segments, brands, product families, and references, and make recommendations to management based on these analyses
Communicate these analyses internally on a regular basis
Communication
Build product sales pitches and tools to highlight the strength and performance of PPG products
Communicate to the Sales Force all essential technical, legislative, marketing, and price information
In association with the country communication manager, ensure the proper communication of these elements to the customers
Competitive intelligence
Drive competitive intelligence to keep informed on market trends and developments
Analyze the market by identifying innovations and other changes in product lines and competitive strategies, as well as the needs and expectations of end users
Get regular meetings and feedback from customers and sales teams in order to get a comprehensive knowledge of customer needs, competition initiatives, and products ranges gaps
Communicate these analyses internally on a regular basis
Communicate these analyses to the central team and be a driving force in the development of new products/solutions
Forecasts
In close collaboration with the European demand team, the local sales department, and the Sales excellence teams, participate in the product forecasts process
In close collaboration with local customer service, deploy every effort to ensure good product availability for customers
Administrative management for the projects in charge, in respect of budgets
Qualifications Advanced degree, Engineering/Business school with experience in a marketing/product position
Experience in the automotive aftermarket
Functional English mandatory
Advanced mastery of the Office pack, high-level on Excel (can perform complex functions) mandatory
Technical sensitivity
Marketing skills
Good organization, management of priorities, management of transverse projects
Teamwork skills (colleagues, Salesforce, customers, distributors, and manufacturers)
