A dynamic central program management approach, with prioritization mechanism to add/modify/remove workstreams, will ensure company focus.
Each workstream benefits from a taskforce approach, with single accountability and directly responsible individual, along with change ambassadors.Introduction to Community Business ServicesThe Community Business Services stream intends to start business ventures with our customers (e.g., airlines, airports, Air Navigation Service Providers - ANSPs, etc.).
The type of business venture is most likely to be a joint venture, but to be discussed and confirmed.The projected roles responsibilities within these business ventures are:(potentially) provide the sales channelThe customer-partner to provide the staff operational processesTherefore, the market offering of this +Partner business venture would consist of complete turn-key services to tackle full business outsourcing opportunities.
So far, they have selected the following initial themes for such services:Airline Operations Control Centre: coordinate and execute network (flight) operations to provide the best possible flight schedule.Airport Operations Command Centre: control and coordination of an airport's airside operations from a centralized location bringing about Real-Time situational awareness to achieve airport collaboration decision-making compliance.Total Airport Management: single platform for control and coordination of an airport's landside, terminal, and airside activities with full information exchange resulting in Real-Time analysis that will enhance collaborative decision-making.What we are looking forThe role is a central role fully assigned to the support of the Community Business Services, reporting to the Head of this Corporate initiative.
A product manager, the person will identify customer needs and the larger business objectives that the service will fulfill, define the service and articulate a game plan to achieve success, and rally internal external stakeholders to turn that vision into a reality during a development implementation phase.The role includes the following activities:Understand and represent airline/airport operations pain points and user needs.Define a vision for the new service and align with potential partners and potential customers around the vision for the service.Draft/create service definition, scope, roles, and responsibilities between the business and partners.Perform market sizing, sales forecast, investment plan (CAPEX/OPEX) to integrate within a master business case.Define partnership strategy, business venture (joint venture) operations and governance, as well as JV financials and impact on financials.Prioritize service features and capabilities, and plan for new product launch (if required to meet services scope) and/or roadmap items.Plan for service development and roll-out under a well-defined implementation phase.Monitor the market and develop competitive analyses to adjust roll-out strategy in order to protect "first mover advantage" over "close follower" competitors.Support service sales campaigns, participate in customer interviews to drive service definition.Skills and qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a significant product management function is a requirement.- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Airlines/Airports Operations, and MBA are valid qualifications.- Innovation skills and a track record of significant experience in defining market requirements and functional specifications.- Track record of building and implementing business development plans including assessing, analyzing, tracking consolidating market data.- Good capability in coordinating and influencing virtual teams within an international environment.- Experience of working in a Matrix environment, liaising with different teams to drive overall product success.- Excellent communicator.- Excellent English written and spoken.
