We are a wholesale global travel organization.We have 1500+ people speaking 50+ languages in 120+ cities across 50+ countries.We partner with over 430,000 properties in more than 15,000 destinations.We work with more than 44,000 travel companies in 139 source markets.We have an amazing technology team focused on delivering valuable outcomes using innovative tech and creative & lateral thinking.In this role you will: Build relations with key hotels in Europe to assist in placing ad-hoc and series group bookings according to market requirements.Negotiate the best possible rates and T&C with the hotels in order to maximize margins.Undertake purchasing tasks for the Sales, Key Accounts Team, and Operations Departments to meet our clients' requirements and deadlines.Provide administration support to the Product Team as required.Key elements to this role include: Placing qualified group requests passed to Product by members of Sales and Key Account teams, ensuring that the right product has been offered at the best possible rates and conditions.Sending options, confirmations (and also amendments and cancellations if needed) out to suppliers and following up where necessary, ensuring paperwork accurately reflects requirements.Ensuring maximum usage of allocation and RU space is being implemented where relevant.Attending Fam trips, networking events, and trade shows to enhance existing supplier relationships and create new relationships.Attending supplier meetings face-to-face where appropriate.Understanding the needs of the clients and the markets in which the company is operating, obtaining this information through training and discussions with colleagues.Maintaining and improving good relations with key hotels.Negotiating ad-hoc group rates with contracted and non-contracted suppliers in key locations, in conjunction with the Regional Contracts Manager for the area.Negotiating and booking space to be sold for events where the department is proactively promoting a date for group travel, or a series, and managing this space.#J-18808-Ljbffr
