We are now seeking a Product Developer to help us further build the future of food.
You will be based in Berga, Spain and report to the R&D manager of Snacks (part of the R&D Frying & Snacks team).
You will be part of a great international R&D team and work with the development of Snacks and involved in some Packaging work with focus on sustainability.
What you will do Responsible for development and design of recipe and functional properties of new products and concepts within product development projects.
Deliver on KPIs for taste, product quality, sustainability, cost and convenience (for consumers and customers).
Responsible for continuously improving our existing offer by reviewing ingredients/materials and production processes regarding quality and cost efficiency.
Ensure food safety and legal requirements are followed and work towards our sustainability goals for products and packaging.
Evaluate and describe sensory properties of products and act as test panel leader.
Secure correct data according to R&D responsibility.
Explore trends and new research within Snacking, new technology, ingredients and functional properties to use and implement in our PD-projects.
Presentation of concepts, products and technology to support Marketing, Sales and other relevant functions in internal and external training.
Continuously perform benchmark and quality reviews against our main competitors.
Drive safety and actively look out for safety improvements.
What we expect from you 1-5 years of experience in product development roles within FMCG sector, preferably within the area of food.
Experience in the world of Snacking is a plus and people with more than 5 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply as well.
Master's degree in Food technology, Chemistry or related field.
The work requires you to be a team player, flexible, hands-on mentality, but also needs a creative yet strategic mindset with the ability to organize and prioritize your own work.
Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset are part of your strengths.
English at an advanced level is required.
