Unlocking the full potential of life.Job Purpose Reporting to the Head of Packaging Group Purchasing, as procurement specialist he/she will be responsible for managing and coordinating all sourcing and procurement activities for the Spanish and French manufacturing plants. He/she will be also responsible for tactical purchasing processes for packaging materials spend, local negotiations and contract management. Carry out the sourcing process in line with the company operational procedure in order to identify the most appropriate suppliers Negotiate according to the company guidelines and corporate agreements Support Category Manager in monitoring the supplier portfolio and collecting all the information required for the supplier performance evaluation (e.g.: Vendor Rating process); Engage with all the internal stakeholders to align planned activity and deliveries Key Responsibilities Provide site leadership for packaging procurement activities, tasks, and initiatives. Collaborate with site leadership and stakeholders on effectively managing supply base to ensure high level of performance and continuity of supply. Ensure all demand requirements for packaging are fulfilled for the plants. Work with vendors to resolve any supply, quality or delivery issues. Responsible for delivering established budget and cost savings targets through competitive bidding, and effective negotiation of supply and service agreements. Identify future opportunities for cost savings and leverage opportunities with other sites. Track and record savings projects. Lead, in alignment with stakeholders needs and Group Procurement guidelines, strategic sourcing initiatives for packaging materials. Responsible for local P2P (Procure to Pay) process for spend. Develop and manage the RFI/RFP (tender) process according to Global and local Sourcing policies as required. Prepare supplier recommendation and business awards to align with Group procurement management (where needed). Negotiate key supplier contracts for packaging. Negotiation of payment terms. Supervise local contract management process for packaging spend and monitor supplier performance against commitments for manufacturing sites. Monitor market trends for packaging materials and industry trends in order to benchmark and develop procurement best practices. Supplier relationship management including regular supplier review meetings. Responsibility for new Vendor setup, change vendor data, reactivation or close vendor in the system. Develop risk mitigation strategies to reduce and mitigate risk for single and sole source vendors. Supervise contract management process for Spain and France commercial legal entities. Required Education University Degree with related experience required Required Skills and Experience Experience in procuring and negotiating direct packaging materials Proven track record of delivering cost reductions through effective sourcing and negotiation Minimum 5 years Procurement experience Experience in Pharma healthcare industry is preferred Procurement supervisory experience is preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) ERP Knowledge, SAP preferred Required Behaviours and Competencies Contract and Negotiation skills Analytical skills & Problem Solving results oriented Project Management Excellent Communication skills and ability to influence management International environment Team player Required Languages Fluent English; Spanish and/or French as plus Travel required in %At Recordati we believe in people!
