The Procurement Excellence and Strategy team belongs to CHC Procurement department. Our purpose is manifold: Empower & deliver data-driven decisions with the cutting-edge digital solutions, enable higher productivity and maturity of procurement and business teams, make a meaningful and visible impact on our sustainability commitments and lastly, delivering value (Cash/Cost out) through strategic procurement initiatives.
Main responsibilities: The Procurement Data Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Data Management process across Global CHC Procurement. This includes ensuring that both Procurement-owned and Procurement-influenceable data is managed as a strategic asset and leading efforts to improve data trustworthiness. Data Analytics: Enable different insights and data products for critical programs such as market intelligence, cost breakdown structures, should-cost analysis, commodity indexes, inflation/headwinds management, design to value, cash-flow improvements, third-party risk management, etc. Data Quality: Implement and monitor means to measure, assess, and improve the fitness of data for use within the organization. Define Business Rules and Data Quality Indexes (DQI) for the Procurement data and drive the Governance to improve DQI. Data Governance: Ensure alignment of Procurement Data governance processes and standards with applicable Global Data Governance teams. Own the Data Governance programs with 3rd party vendors. Internal and External Benchmarking: Research new methodologies and benchmarks regarding data management in Procurement. Build and leverage the Procurement and larger Digital team at Sanofi to capture and share best practices. Metadata and Data Categorization: Own the Procurement Data Glossary, including business definitions, data model, data flows, and any other critical information to enable the understanding of data and the systems through which it has been created (e.g., ERP, S2P, External Databases). About you Experience: Experience working in data-related roles within a global organization, ideally with functional experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, as a Data Analyst, Master Data Management, Data Steward, or similar roles.
Soft skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to individuals from different backgrounds in business terms that drive action. Ability to translate business requirements into critical data dependencies and requirements. Ability to think beyond the current state and work towards an unconstrained, optimized design. Ability to handle multiple simultaneous initiatives, be highly organized, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines. Networking skills and a proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and business partners.
Technical skills: Strong data management background with an understanding of data collection, storage, usage, and how to create policies around data. Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) and data automation workflows (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate) is a plus. Knowledge of Informatica or equivalent Data Governance tools is a plus. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and incremental product delivery is a plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Engineering/Computer Science/Data combined with relevant business acumen. A Master's degree is preferred.
Languages: High level of Fluency in English.
