ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
Procurement analysis is a critical function within the procurement/contract management process. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager on a day-to-day basis, the Procurement Analyst leverages data-driven insights to support strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier evaluation, and overall Procurement/Contract process improvement. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, internal departments, and legal and finance teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzing spend data and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance and compliance.
Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and trends.
Assisting in contract negotiations and drafting supplier agreements.
Creating and maintaining procurement reports and dashboards.
Supporting the procurement team in supplier relationship management.
Participating in cross-functional meetings to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
Collaborating with finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints.
Using procurement software and tools to streamline processes and enhance data analysis.
Evaluating and recommending improvements to procurement/contract policies and procedures.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:
Data analysis and interpretation skills.
Market research and supplier evaluation experience.
Contract management and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in procurement/contract management software.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.
Technology plays a crucial role in the work of a Procurement Analyst. Advanced data analytics tools like Coupa, Oracle, or SAP are used to gather, analyze, and interpret procurement-related data. Familiarity with these tools and adapting to technological advancements are essential for success in this role. Experience in procurement/contract management is a valuable asset, but with the right skill set, individuals with a background in data analysis or supply chain can also transition into this role.
