How You'll Make an Impact Responsible for overall process engineering design for electrolyser plants throughout the life of the project and development phase Manage the engineering team and respective tasks during bid preparation Review and comment on customer specifications during the bidding phase Identification of all project-specific deviations from reference plants and the resulting changes, decide with bid manager on strategies and resulting efforts Responsible for technical clarification with vendors and release of RFQs (purchasing specifications) for system and components Driving process and design improvements focusing on efficiency enhancement and design to cost measures Development of test instructions and use of test rigs for design verification as well as development and maintenance of process design tools Responsible for identifying technical gaps to ensure the quality of engineering deliverables and request support from other technical experts if needed Review of project-specific process engineering design and documentation by providing technical expertise to the project execution team Collaboration with other engineering fields, purchasing department and R&D organization as well as active management of internal and external engineering partners Provision of support and guidance to the team for system & equipment design, development of data sheets, P&IDs and I&C specification and definition of process guarantees Provision of specification for automation of various subsystems and unit master control as well as support in HAZOP, risk assessment and SIL study for various subsystems Ensuring design guidelines and relevant engineering codes and standards Responsible for reference plant documentation as well as erection and commissioning support What You Bring The successful completion of a master's degree in process engineering or related engineering areas Intensive working experience in engineering or other technical functions and ability to deal with the interface requirements of partners In-depth knowledge of electrolysis technology and design Knowledge of codes and standards – DIN/ ASME / API / ANSI / NEMA / NPFA etc.
Expertise in the field of operational concepts, I&C systems and DCS specifications Commissioning experience and basic knowledge in fact finding, test definition, troubleshooting & plant performance evaluation Competencies in engineering tools such as COMOS and deep understanding of P&IDs methodology, valve and heat exchanger design, gas analysis and water chemistry (incl.
sampling & dosing) Good decision-making skills and independent working capability Teamwork & collaboration capabilities including communication skills Fluent knowledge of English & German as well as intercultural sensitivity and willingness to travel Great passion for the area of energy transition and decarbonization Comfortable in an environment characterized by personal responsibility and initiative About the Team Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector.
