Ontex was founded in Belgium in 1979 and is listed on Euronext Brussels.To reinforce our R&D team, we are looking for a Process Industrialization Developer.ResponsibilitiesDevise new processes and/or refine existing ones to optimise the manufacturing process.Plan, carry out and supervise process trials in laboratories, pilot plants or factories.Scale up the production process via plant trials, according to changes in raw materials or components, and process parameters to ensure quality is maintained during large-scale production.Improve yields by reducing costs, e.g. investigating alternative materials according to masterspecs or new machinery to improve efficiency and quality in bottleneck areas.Devise test methods to assess the production process.Validate new processes and show that they're an improvement.Collaborate with R&D to product pipelines at various stages of development.Develop process specifications and create critical to process parameters (checklist), ensuring compliance with the finished product specifications.Perform the Process risk assessment according to the innovation flow.Advise on equipment modification to enable process changes for new product development.Read and write technical reports and specifications, maintaining appropriate records.Initiate and generate ideas based on reading and research.Strongly collaborate with main stakeholders to remove bottlenecks and speed up time to market.Run full feasibility exercises on project proposals (technical, financial, resource, timing, capex, opex, …) in collaboration with R&D, Quality, Finance, and Procurement.The job role can involve presenting ideas to senior staff, training and supervising new team members or more junior staff, and reading trade press or attending conferences to keep up to date with industry developments.Job RequirementsHigher education degree or equivalent experience preferably related to Product/Process Development.A first experience in R&D or project management is an asset.Knowledge about raw materials, production processes, and the market.Problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on several tasks or projects concurrently.Excellent English (oral + written) is mandatory.
