Your goal Due to the expansion of the team, we are looking for a new colleague As a Process design engineer , you will contribute to the development of environmentally friendly water solutions. You own the design and have the freedom and responsibility to design an efficient, sustainable and winning process. In this independent role, you will work in a close-knit team of 16 colleagues, to whom you can always fall back for support. Your daily tasks include the preparation of purification designs for wastewater, mass balances, design notes for commercial projects. In addition, you translate new technology into design tools. You regularly consult internally with the sales department and with our sister companies, both in the Netherlands and abroad, to realize the best water treatment solutions. You will also use your expertise to improve our technologies and design methods. You find satisfaction finding creative solutions in the field of water treatment, and the recovery of raw materials such as biogas and fertilizer. Because you work with deadlines and customers, you know how to structure your work and maintain an overview. Every week you will discuss with the team whether you can continue the project independently. For this position, independence, personal growth and support are key. What will you be doing? We have listed it for you: Performing calculations for the design of complex wastewater and organic waste stream treatment plants, including mass balances and estimates of operational costs (Opex). Converting theoretical knowledge and research results into practical, technological designs such as PFDs (Pprocess Flow Diagrams) and PIDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams). Making technical and technological calculations to support the sales department, with the aim of preparing winning quotations. Integrating new technological developments into design tools. Making proposals regarding the optimization of existing technologies and/or the development of new sustainable technologies/concepts. Carrying out technical and financial feasibility studies in the field of customer-specific applications. Carrying out consultancy work and feasibility studies, also at customer sites. What we're looking for WO education in the technical field, preferably in the direction of chemical or bioprocess technology, water technology or health engineering. At least 5 years of experience in a similar position within a similar industry. You speak and write the English language at a professional level. You live within a radius of 40 kilometers from Doetinchem or you are willing to relocate. Working with us means The salary for this position is between € 4.500,- and € 6.500,- gross per month for a 40-hour workweek, depending on your work experience.
