On the broader internet, misinformation, hateful, and otherwise unsafe content are continually being created.
Our goal is to understand the ever-changing external landscape, translate that into product principles and policies, and then work to make search safer and more responsible.
We accomplish this through policy, partnerships, operations, and technology including recent major advances in the fields of deep learning and natural language processing.
We're seeking a leader to expand and scale our responsible AI and safety partnerships.
You'll build connections with industry, academia, and safety stakeholders to promote research, gain insights, and gather actionable data.
You will work with other product managers and developers to make our products safer.
As part of this role, you will have input into the policies that shape the future of AI in search.

Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
Responsibilities Builds relationships with external entities (researchers, press, others in industry, regulators) to gain insights and foster new safety-related research.
Drives the use of 3rd party data sets like fact checks to improve the safety of products.
Influences and engages with cross-functional internal partners, external partners, including senior leadership, and other key stakeholders to gather input and garner support for vision, strategy, and roadmap for moderation and safety.
Works across multiple disciplines to define and influence the long-term vision and strategy for the feature areas based on a deep understanding of customer needs, market and user research, the competitive landscape, and Microsoft's business goals and strategy.
Influences the overall policy and strategy for responsible AI and safety at Microsoft.
Owns and partners with others to drive business impact across the organization through shared OKR's and KPI's on product safety.
Identifies data-informed, short-term, and long-term investment opportunities, evaluates tradeoffs, and prioritizes investments in consultation with cross-functional partners.
