As such our Research & Development team, based in Barcelona, is looking for a highly motivated scientist to help identify new target opportunities and to lead pre-clinical drug discovery projects.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesYou are a driven individual with an in-depth understanding of inflammatory immune disease mechanisms. An individual that can apply your scientific skills to develop new biological hypotheses that could be developed into new dermatological drug development projects.You will work in a highly cross-functional environment and be an effective project team leader.Develop project plans up to pre-clinical phase.Oversee development of drug(s) and ensure fulfills expected target profile.Build biological rationale and reason to believe for each project.Contribute and lead efforts to gain additional biological understanding in the diseases of interest.Develop novel therapeutic hypotheses that can help initiate new drug discovery projects.Contribute to scientific evaluation of external opportunities.Build and maintain effective relationships and collaborations with academic and industry collaborators and advisors.Education & ExperiencePh.D. in relevant scientific area and ~3 years of experience in an industrial or academic environment.Sound background in immunology and translational research with impactful research experience demonstrated by high-quality publications, patents, and/or presentations at national/international conferences.Preference will be given to candidates with experience in translational dermatology, and with experience in drug discovery in small molecules, biologics, mRNA or cell therapies.CompetencesStrong project leadership experience in academic or industry cross-functional teams.Excellent communication skills in English and ability to influence team decisions.Strong decision maker capable of simultaneously working on and in several fast-paced projects.ValuesCare; we listen & empathize, we value diverse perspectives & backgrounds and we help each other succeed.Courage; we challenge the statusquo, we take full ownership and we learn from our success & failures.Innovation; we put the patient and customer at the center, we create novel solutions and we empower entrepreneurial mindsets.Simplicity; we act decisively and avoid over-analysis, we understand why before we act and we are agile & keep things simple.#J-18808-Ljbffr
