With a diverse workforce spread across four countries, IAG GBS provides creative and innovative solutions to drive sustainable transformation by delivering finance, procurement and airline services, as well as group-wide systems across IAG.Purpose of the roleContribute to the view of enterprise IT capabilities, through the strategic definition of enterprise-wide business and application architecture, ensuring it supports the strategic requirements of the business.Drive the enterprise/solution/data architecture thought leadership, effectively influencing stakeholders to help define the future state.Identify opportunities to work across IAG Tech to underpin the successful delivery of major architectural initiatives.Management of supplier relationships, ensuring any third-party deliverables meet strategic, technical and cost requirements.Identification and execution of continual improvement opportunities, ensuring the best outcomes for IAG and its operating companies, driving optimal solutions through the implementation of the architecture roadmap.Develop and maintain relationships within the Group and externally to identify and promote best practice and industry trends, translating these into strategy, policies, standards and best practice.AccountabilitiesEnsure all architecture activity in their area is aligned in terms of business vision and goals.Provide expertise to programme and project managers with the design, planning governance of projects and business initiatives in relation to architecture.Collaborate with Architects in other areas as required and ensures any solution within their specific specialism fits with the business and technical architecture and strategic direction.Recognise opportunities for business or IT change, communicates them persuasively to appropriate stakeholders.Act as the bridge between Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture application designers to ensure business, information and technology architecture is consistent.Lead the production and ensure the quality, timely delivery and appropriateness of architecture artefacts.Develop and document the current and future state architecture.Support the business in understanding and interpreting the architecture and ensuring awareness and use of existing architecture artefacts.Liaise closely with service partners and suppliers where third-party work or packages involve significant architectural decisions.Lead consultancy assignments involving specialists from various disciplines.Follow the agreed methods and use the appropriate tools for architecture and promote and support these.QualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalent experience.Desired qualificationRecognised architecture qualification desirableWorking towards TOGAF level 1 certificationSkillsDemonstrates clear leadership and an ability to influence and persuade across the organisation at senior levels.Collaborative, open working, resulting in recognition as a valued partner by colleagues, customers and senior stakeholders.Problem solving understanding of the broader business context (business acumen).Innovation - transforming industry trends into practical, cost effective, secure, scalable and supportable solutions.Fluent written and spoken in Spanish and English.Finance HR - knowledge of the human resources and/or finance business.Operations - Knowledge of MRO, PaxBags, Aircraft, Handling, Crew OCC Business.Experience of successfully completing significant architecture and consultancy assignments.Proven track record of successfully leading architecture activities.Broad experience of IT or business strategy studies.Proven track record of successful stakeholder management at a senior level.Business partnering, delivering a value-added service to customers.Experience of and contribution to applicable best practice and/or methodologies.Demonstrable awareness of worldwide architecture trends and practice.Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures is desirable, but not essential.Diversity and InclusionIAG Tech is part of the IAG GBS organisation, and our people are at the heart of everything we do.
