FUNCTIONSWe are looking for a Principal Consultant - Team Leader with experience in Project Management and environmental impact assessment to join the growing Capital Project Delivery team in Spain. The job will be offered as a full-time hybrid work position with the possibility to work from our Madrid or Barcelona office and remotely. Key responsibilities include:
Develop and manage Environmental & Social Impact Assessment studies/projects;Prepare, update and review technical documentation;Manage relationships with authorities, clients, and contractors;Manage environmental critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations with major emphasis on: IPPC Decree, EIA decrees, Permitting;Define, coordinate and implement Environmental monitoring plans;Identify and develop new project opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimates, and maintain client relationships;Ability and flexibility to work across a range of services and sectors including oil & gas, power (including renewables), and manufacturing;Provide compliance assurance of impact assessment studies with applicable local legal and institutional requirements (IFC, EBRD, etc.);About you:A master's degree in environmental engineering or environmental sciences or other relevant disciplines.
3-5 years of experience as Project Manager.
Experience in people leadership.
Ideally 7 years of experience in relevant fields such as consulting or environmental services, with specific focus on environmental permitting in Spain, EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and/or Environmental Social Due Diligence.
Familiarity with EHS National Environmental regulations and International Standards (IFC, EBRD, etc.)
Proficiency in Spanish and English, written and spoken. French will be considered an advantage.
Proven experience in liaising with authorities, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
