Job Description: Details of the role and how it fits into the team Join the FX, Rates and Global Electronic and Algorithmic Trading Group Audit (GA) team as an Associate.
Drive front-to-back audit risk and control coverage to improve the control environment and corporate governance.
The role is based in Madrid, reporting into the team's Principal Audit Manager (PAM) in London.
Responsibilities Support the PAM in planning, executing and reporting the results of internal audits of controls in the eTrading, Rates and FX asset classes.
Identify risks and controls, document process flows and test control design and operational effectiveness under GA Methodology.
Execute other tasks such as finding closure tracking and validation, Continuous Monitoring, the updating of Risk Assessment Profiles and special projects.
Partner with other audit teams globally and develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, the business and control and support functions.
Communicate openly with GA management and internal stakeholders, keeping them informed of potential issues and escalating problems and delays promptly.
Skills Ambitious and self-motivated, able to prioritise own workload with minimal supervision, resilient under pressure working in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.
Comfortable negotiating; able to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining high levels of professionalism, staying humble and building relationships within and outside the team.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with a good level of English (stakeholders are in London).
Knowledge of internal or external auditing in financial services, ideally in Investment Banking in FX, Rates or Electronic Trading, with 2-3 years of experience preferred.
A relevant professional qualification e.g.
ACA / CFA / CISA, knowledge of IT auditing and ability to read code would be a plus (such as SQL and Python).
Willing to learn quickly.
