ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College, world-renowned for academic excellence and student leadership, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring and ambitious professional to the position of Primary Music teacher with Music specialism to join our teaching team on a permanent basis in September 2024.

Rated "Excellent" in all areas in our recent Penta inspection, we have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Music to join our highly successful team. We are seeking to appoint a flexible and creative practitioner with excellent subject knowledge and effective interpersonal skills, committed to building strong working relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the EU and be fluent in English.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To deliver high quality teaching and learning in line with the UK National Curriculum and local requirements.
To plan, feedback and teach in line with school and departmental procedures.
To plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work in accordance with school policies.
To maintain a working knowledge of National Curriculum & other documents.
To maintain records of pupils' progress including all statutory documents required by the UK DFE.
To produce reports and grades for pupils as per the school calendar.
To conduct termly interviews with parents to discuss and explain their child's performance and progress in school.
To provide and maintain an attractive and stimulating environment in which to foster effective teaching and learning.
To monitor progress and the effectiveness of class work and to evaluate and modify planning and teaching as necessary.
To differentiate accordingly according to the students' needs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A dynamic and pro-active teacher, preferably with independent sector or international experience.
Strong team player willing to support other colleagues.
Excellent working knowledge of the English National Curriculum and recent developments.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Pastoral responsibility or experience would be an advantage.
Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
