Offer DescriptionRef.: 24-082_R_ARAbout the research groupThe Stem Cell Potency group of IDIBELL's Regenerative Medicine Program has a longstanding interest and expertise in studying heart regeneration using the zebrafish model. Zebrafish can regenerate up to 20% of their ventricle within 30 days after amputation, a process driven by numerous genes and genetic pathways. Recently, our team has identified several new genes potentially involved in the zebrafish heart regeneration process.About the roleThe successful candidate will join an ongoing project aimed at elucidating the role of specific genes involved in the heart regeneration process. During the PhD, the candidate will work with various molecular biology techniques, including genome editing, establishing transgenic fish lines (such as microinjections), manual heart amputation, and immunohistochemistry.
