VHIR offers a position for a Predoctoral Researcher within Design and Pharmacokinetics of NPs to participate in the project "2-in-1 Nanogold for a Synergistic Enhancement of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy".
The group of design and pharmacodynamics of nanoparticles at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and applications of engineered inorganic nanoparticles in the field of medicine.
In particular, for this project, that will be done in collaboration with radio-oncologists from Sant Pau Hospital, gold nanoparticles will be synthesized and functionalized and then tested in in vitro and in vivo models.
Thus, covering all fundamental aspects of chemical synthesis, radiology, cell biology and biochemistry.
Education and qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Sciences and a Master's in Biochemistry, Biomedicine or a related discipline Fluency in English Desired: Specific/Additional training in animal experimentation Experience in research labs Fluency in Catalan and Spanish Experience and knowledge: Required: Knowledge of biochemistry, biology and chemistry Experience in cell culture and cell biology techniques such as qPCR, ELISA, western, etc Desired: Experience in animal experimentation Experience in radiobiology Main responsibilities and duties: To participate in the PhD programme associated with the experimental aspects of the funded project Working in a multidisciplinary project Communication of results Labour conditions: Full-time position: 40h/week Starting date: By the end of 2024 Gross annual salary: 18.180,41€ (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills.
