Predoctoral Researcher Chemistry

The researcher will work on the synthesis of new mixed anion compounds as new electrode materials for Li- and post lithium ion batteries. He/she will join the ESYMAT Research group at CEU San Pablo University.We are looking for one Predoctoral Researcher with a Degree and Master in Chemistry, Materials Science or Engineering with some experience in synthetic inorganic chemistry or metal ion batteries chemistry.The contract will be performed with Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU according to a competitive salary for predoctoral researchers.The work will be done under the project 2024-T1/ECO-31588 financed by Comunidad de Madrid: ayudas de atracción de talento investigador "Cesar Nombela".The tentative starting date is 1st March 2025 and the duration is 4 years.Responsibilities: Synthesis of inorganic mixed anion compounds by ceramic or hydrothermal procedures.Structural characterization of the materials by X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction and transmission electron microscopy.Spectroscopic characterization by XPS, XAS and FTIR.Electrochemical characterization of the selected electrode materials.Writing scientific publications and participation in scientific conferences.All applicants are invited to register and submit their curriculum vitae at this website.
