Fundació Sant Joan de Déu opens a Pre-Award Manager position to join Sant Joan de Déu SOCIAL INNOVA program, linked to the European/International Pre-award Unit.
SJD SOCIAL INNOVA is a cross-cutting program that promotes and contributes to the generation of transformative social innovation projects in SJD's social and healthcare centres.
The program accompanies the centres from the identification of the idea or challenge, to the design and construction of competitive projects, establishing the impact narrative.
The program also provides support during the implementation of the awarded projects in tasks related to social innovation (participation and co-creation), measurement and impact management to promote social transformation.
The person we are looking for will be responsible for assisting project leaders working in the social area of Sant Joan de Déu Centres in securing competitive funds (mainly European or International) for research and innovation related activities that offer new evidence-based solutions to the realities that they attend to on a daily basis. He/she will ensure that all project applications are delivered to a high standard and in compliance with funder regulations and internal policies. The final objective of this position is to maximize the value and impact of these projects to Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem in terms of research outputs, outcomes, dissemination and impact.
The main calls that will be worked with are those of the European Commission, such as: "EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI)", "Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme (CERV)", "Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF)", "Horizon Europe" and "Erasmus+". However, other sources of national and international funding will also be explored, when applicable to the ideas/projects identified.
Main tasks and responsibilities:Internal scouting: to be aware of the activity of the different social innovation stakeholders within Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem. Getting to know their ideas, their needs and their project portfolio.External scouting: in-depth knowledge of appropriate funding framework for the interests and needs of the centres in social innovation (European, International, National, Regional), and to keep up to date. Identify and propose future trends in this field.Project application: to promote SJD stakeholders participation in competitive calls suitable for the ideas identified and to give professional support for the preparation of the proposals:Evaluation of the suitability of the project with the topic/call and evaluation criteria.Design, conceptualization (design of the theory of change) and structure of the project and the consortium.Elaboration of the project proposal, including design of the projects' impact narrative.Conceptualization of the projects' M&E procedures and indicators as well as impact evaluation.Preparation of the budget.Providing institutional information and other cross-cutting issues of the proposal.Logistical and administrative support for the submission.Networking and positioning activities: identification and follow-up of networks, actions and initiatives that may represent a strategic opportunity for both the Institution and the project leaders. Attendance at conferences, information sessions, partnering events and meetings of interest with funding agencies.Capacity building and collaboration: organization of information seminars for project leaders. Organization of co-creation workshops to identify new and collaborative projects between different centres. Community management.Implementation: keep up to date of the activities developed in the portfolio of awarded projects and use that information to build new synergies and project ideas.Governance: participate in the internal committees of SJD SOCIAL INNOVA program. Participate in the International Projects Office's transversal activities.
