IRB Barcelona is a world-class research centre devoted to understanding fundamental questions about human health and disease. We are looking for someone with very good communications skills, ready to work in close relationship with funding bodies, research groups, and tightly collaborate with the Section of International Strategic Support, the Post-Award Section and the Innovation Department of the Institute.DUTIESProvide proactive support to the IRB Barcelona community in securing competitive funds for research and institute-related activities.Search for and provide information on funding opportunities and open calls.Act as a contact point with granting and donor entities.Oversee eligibility criteria, budget compliance, ethical issues and other requirements.Collaborate in the preparation and submission of institutional proposals.Negotiate agreements and manage final signature issues.EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSMust Have - RequiredExperience: University degree; Minimum of 5 years' experience in grants management, gained in a scientific environment; Be familiarised with funding opportunities portals.Knowledge: Fluent in English and Spanish; Advanced user of the Microsoft Office package (mainly Excel); SAP Business One; Web edition software.Skills: Highly organized and reliable person who pays attention to details and who can work as a team player. Capacity to juggle projects under tight deadlines. High initiative and capacity to work independently.Desirable: Working knowledge of Catalan; Experience in teamwork; Experience in working in a multidisciplinary environment.WORKING CONDITIONS & ENTITLEMENTSWorking conditions: Permanent Contract.
