WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll join our Product, Practice and Knowledge (PPK) department as part of our global Customer Practice. Over the past two decades, we have formalized our industry and capability areas, internally known as "Practices", integral to how we win and deliver results to our clients. PPK is a business unit of Bain and the team's primary role is to drive growth in an industry or capability and to help Bain 'scale results' by accelerating the development, deployment, commercialization, and delivery of world-class knowledge, expertise, and products. Our Customer Practice is a global capability that cuts across all industry practices. It focuses on top line revenue growth levers and any customer-centric activity at Bain including casework, client development, marketing, and training. Our product portfolio includes B2B Commercial Excellence (CE) and B2C Marketing Customer Experience (MCX). MCX includes brand and purpose, value proposition and offering, marketing, sales and ecosystem, and customer experience.
WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
This role is for the Practice Solution Senior Manager for B2C Marketing and Customer Experience, which spans all the capabilities needed for a B2C (or B2B2C) company to sustain organic growth. This includes brand and purpose, value proposition and offering, marketing, channel and ecosystem, and customer experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll work closely with our Marketing & Customer Experience team, broader Customer practice team, and FRWD, Bain's marketing execution capability to:
Maximize Bain and client results by ensuring Bain teams understand and integrate the best of Bain's expertise and insight into proposal development.Proactively identify and support commercial opportunities, in tandem with Regional Practice Leaders and regional affiliates, to penetrate Practice capabilities into priority accounts.Translate content and expertise into Bain credentials and recruiting materials.Support select client development activities and provide advisory role to case teams.Develop, commercialize, and deploy cutting-edge new products and IP.Positioned as the expert on Bain's competitive positioning by keeping pulse on marketplace dynamics and developing products and IP to support strategic vision of practice, with a specific emphasis on Bain's consumer sales and ecosystem offerings.Evaluate white space opportunities and develop new products and IP to fill gaps in service portfolio.Synthesize learnings across case teams to drive innovation.Lead new analytic or primary research efforts to support new product development (or to upgrade existing products).Build affiliation and awareness of Practice products and IP to leverage across client engagements.Evaluate and seek opportunities to transfer product insights across Practice boundaries.Serve as 'COO', developing and operationalizing practice strategies.Collaborate with Global Solution Leader to manage the Global Practice.Develop the Practice strategic and operational plan, ensuring alignment with Customer priorities.Refresh strategic plan annually and drive execution of that plan across the year, including budgeting, recruiting, and major product initiatives.Set objectives and agendas for meetings with Bain's set of Customer Practice Partners and Product Champions.Support Regional Practice Leaders in the year-end highly leveraged activity and review process.Build Bain and the practice's brand.Partner with marketing to develop marketing and PR activities to promote the Practice externally.Incorporate "Best of Bain" Practice thinking into marketing and PR materials. - You must be passionate about Marketing and Customer Experience.
- You have 8+ years of professional experience, preferably with Marketing and CX experience.
- Ideally, you have experience in designing, managing, or leading Sales & Ecosystems for consumer companies.
- You're able to structure and lead complex business research and analysis in a fast-paced environment, as well as the skills to drive to pragmatic business insights.
