YOUR TASKS: During the concept design phase of the Nordex WTGs, the Power Electric Engineer will collaborate in the definition of the main electrical parameters (active and reactive power, voltage, current, frequency) of the new Power Electric system that will be the basis for the electrical components design, both in the Low and Medium voltage levels at WTG level.
In collaboration with the Power Electric System team, the engineer will define the electrical protection concept of the Power Electric system.
The Power Electric Engineer will participate in the detailed design, test, and validation of the power carrying system of the Power Electric system in Low and Medium voltage levels within the WTG.
In collaboration with the mechanical design team and the responsible of the main electrical components, the Power Electric Engineer will ensure the correct installation and interconnection of the Power Electric System components within the WTG, with special attention to proper heat evacuation system definition.
The engineer will also create the Power Electric System manuals and participate in the DFMEA analysis.
Additionally, they will perform calculations and write technical reports to support the certification of the Power Electrical System of the WTG.
Further, they will provide technical support to other functions within Nordex during the complete lifecycle of the Power Electric System.
