We value diversity of experiences and skills, and you could bring unique perspectives to our team.Context And MissionThe candidate will help to develop and apply novel methods combining AI language models with atomistic molecular modeling for advancing in the conditions-specific bioprospecting and engineering of enzymes and proteins inside the group of Electronic and Atomic Protein Modelling in the Life Science Unit.The funding for these actions/fellowships comes from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility - Next Generation.Key DutiesContribute to writing research projects and publish research findings.Participate in technical meetings with internal and external collaborators, lead technical discussions.Supervise junior researchers and provide mentorship in their career path.Liaise with BSC support departments when necessary as responsible person of specific projects.RequirementsEducationPhD in computational biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, physics, machine learning or related fields.Essential Knowledge and Professional ExperienceProven excellent scientific publication track record in the same or a related area.At least 2-3 years' of postdoctoral experience in the same or in a related area.Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environmentsProficiency in Python, R or equivalent programming languagesProficiency in atomistic molecular modelingAdditional Knowledge and Professional ExperienceExperience in working with high performance computing environments.Background or interest in life sciencesFluency in English is essential.
