Context And Mission
The Transcriptomics and Functional Genomics Lab is interested in understanding how the information encoded in our genome determines gene expression variation across individuals, tissues, and cells. Our goal is to perform integrative analyses of "-omics" data to ultimately understand how expression changes in both coding and non-coding genes explain human phenotypic variation in health and disease.
Key Duties Contribute to writing research projects and publish research findings. Participate in technical meetings with internal and external collaborators. Supervise junior researchers and provide mentorship in their career path. Requirements Education
PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, physics, machine learning or related fields. Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Proven excellent scientific publication track record. Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments Proficiency in Python, R or equivalent programming languages Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Experience in working with high performance computing environments Background or interest in life sciences Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Spanish and other European languages would be advantageous. Competences

Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
