PhD in Biology, Data Science, or related fields
Background in community ecology or population genetics/molecular ecology
Skills in bioinformatics applied to species and community diversity analyses, including knowledge of metabarcoding pipelines
Knowledge of Unix environments and programming
Experience in marine ecology or biological invasions preferred but not required
Job Description:
Analyze eDNA metabarcoding data collected in European ports, from raw sequences to publication
Conduct intra-OTU level population analyses for selected Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs)
Collaborate with the project team to develop and apply bioinformatics methods for species and community diversity analyses
Maintain a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the research group and optionally mentor Master students
