The CRG is composed of an interdisciplinary, motivated, and creative scientific team supported by a flexible and efficient administration and high-end, innovative technologies.Position OverviewWe are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to develop a project focused on understanding whether the nuclear localization of metabolic enzymes can be used to predict cancer stage, grade, and response to therapy. The selected candidate will analyze mass spectrometry (MS) data to determine the enrichment of metabolic enzymes in the chromatin compartment. This data will be validated with immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence (with the help of a technician), and the selected candidate will develop a pipeline for image analysis and integration of different markers together with the subcellular localization of selected metabolic enzymes. The goal of this project is to develop novel guidelines for patient stratification based on the subcellular localization of enzymes.About the LabOur laboratory specializes in high-throughput image analysis, subcellular proteomics, transcriptomics, genetic screening, bioinformatics, and cell and molecular biology techniques. We are a group of about 10 people from different cultures and countries. We are part of the genome biology department at the CRG, and we aim to understand why metabolic enzymes localize to the nuclear environment and participate in specific chromatin functions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
