The Research group of Ignacio Melero at the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), in Pamplona Spain, is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a Postdoctoral position. Led by Professor Melero, the translational immunotherapy lab focuses on studying and developing new immunotherapeutic strategies for cancer. Our work is mainly translational, involving clinical research related to clinical trials and preclinical models in close collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry. The specific scope of research will be centered in crosspriming and crosspresentation of tumor-cell antigens.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing preclinical experiments using advanced immunotherapy products.

The role will also involve coordinating research conducted with samples collected from clinical trials and analyzing and interpreting the resulting data.

Duties to be performed:Manipulating, making decisions, and analyzing experiments in mouse modelsHandling cellular immunology techniques (mouse and human)Preparing, processing, and analyzing preclinical experiments involving immunotherapeutic treatments in oncologyConducting RNA-seq assays, nanostring analysis, TCR clonality studies, and in vivo killing assays in collaboration with core facilitiesMonitoring samples from clinical trials in oncology using flow cytometry assays, ELISAs, ELISPOT, RT-PCR, and multiplex tissue immunofluorescence
