Context And Mission: At BSC, the Quantum Software Engineer role is centered on advancing the field of quantum simulation, particularly for dynamical systems.
The position involves developing theoretical tools and implementing technical libraries to enhance HPC simulation capabilities, supervising PhD and Master's students, and contributing to research and educational aspects of quantum computing.
Key Duties: Development of theoretical tools for Quantum simulation of dynamical systems Implementation of technical libraries for HPC simulation PhD and Master student supervision Requirements: Education: PhD in Physics, Computer Science or related disciplines.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: Advanced knowledge on field theory Strong background on nuclear and particle physics Tensor Network methods Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience: Fluency in English is essential.
Proficiency in Spanish and other European languages would be advantageous.
Proficiency in Scientific computation Experience in HPC programming and HPC environments Competences: Ability to work in a team and in a multi-cultural environment.
Expertise in oral and written scientific communications.
Conditions: The position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department.

Duration: 4 years Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement Salary: 45,000.00€ Additional Expenses Grant: Each fellowship will be associated with a grant for additional expenses, such as IT equipment, travel, training, stays, etc.
