The Data Science Analytics & Insights team is actively searching for a highly motivated and visionary researcher, with a primary research focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) reasoning and natural language understanding (NLU) for this 2-year Post Doctoral Researcher position. We are particularly interested in candidates who possess a deep passion for making a meaningful impact through their work. In this role, you will play a crucial part in devising innovative data science methodologies to extract valuable insights from vast biomolecular knowledge. Your contributions will involve developing advanced large language model (LLM) agents that excel in solving complex challenges spanning various therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with research colleagues to build compelling decision-making agents by extracting and synthesizing knowledge to make insights actionable.
Develop, validate, and apply groundbreaking LLM-based methodologies to automate the planning and execution of solutions for scientific challenges in support of efforts across drug development lifecycle.
Connect agents to multi-modal sources of data at scale - including unstructured text, structured tables, and images.
Serve as a domain expert within the field by articulating to team members emerging approaches and methodologies within the AI/NLU (e.g., causal reasoning, intent classification, etc.) with a clear understanding of their practical applications within the industry.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in AI/NLU or a related field (e.g., computational linguistics, computer science, machine learning, data science, applied mathematics, statistics) obtained within the last year or to be completed within the next month is required. Proven track record in relevant domain (e.g., text mining, graph analytics, machine learning) backed by publications in credible journals and conferences is required.
