Job Description Responsibilities Conduct cutting-edge research in NLP and machine learning, including but not limited to topic modeling, text classification, information extraction, named entity recognition, text summarization, sentiment analysis, and semantic parsing/understanding.
Publish research findings in leading academic venues and contribute to the scientific community.
Collaborate with other researchers within the company on multi-disciplinary projects.
Create innovative solutions that can be applied to real-world problems.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest research advancements in the field by attending conferences and reviewing literature.
Work closely with software engineers to implement algorithms into prototypes and deliverable systems.
Communicate complex research concepts effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
About You A Ph.D. degree holder specializing in Computer Science or related fields such as Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research evidenced by published papers at top-tier conferences/journals.
Expertise in Python is essential, and knowledge of R will be highly valued.
Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java, Scala, or C++ is a plus.
Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and/or Keras.
In-depth knowledge of deep learning, including familiarity with neural network architectures such as convolutional networks, transformers, and long language models.
Extensive experience in NLP from initial steps (such as text processing) to the development of specific tasks (such as topic modeling, text classification, information extraction, named entity recognition, text summarization, and sentiment analysis).
Proficiency in working with word/document embeddings, such as BERT, GloVe, ELMo, and similar techniques.
Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex data sets, particularly those originating from the field of life sciences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Able to work collaboratively within a team but also independently when required
