The successful candidate will be joining theAtomic Quantum Optics group led by Prof. Dr. Morgan Mitchelland the tasks and responsibilities will be:
Conduct experimental research in the following areas:Miniaturized optically pumped atomic magnetometers (OPMs) for ultra-low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (ZULF NMR) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); NMR MRI with a focus on MRI of microfluidic platforms, using radio-frequency OPMs; Hyperpolarization of carbon-13 molecular probes and their detection using OPMsBuild experimental apparatus for nuclear spin hyperpolarization, OPMs and NMR/MRICollaborate with the research group and external partners on cutting-edge atomic and nuclear sensor applicationsPresent research findings at group meetings, conferences, and through scientific publicationsSupport mentoring and supervision of junior researchers and students within the groupMaintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocolsFunded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union "NextGenerationEU"/PRTR.
