For this unique platform, and global business initiative, we are looking for highly-experienced and skilled experts to join the Sekoya Business Unit to achieve success in this initiative committed to create a global platform empowering consistent, reliable, and easy access to exceptional blueberries every day. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Plant & Fruit Specialist EMEA. This position will be a fully remote position and will involve travelling.
What you'll do at Fall Creek:
Coordinates and improves with Fruit Quality and Sustainability Manager the fruit Quality Protocols, LIVIE Fruit Quality Specifications & Grower Specifications.
Keep supervised Members and their sublicensees in EMEA from a quality perspective for helping them to achieve LIVIE specifications on fruit.
Coordinate with GS team visits to Sekoya members and their sublicensees for monitoring the plant development.
Keep communication with Members to understand their plant management and how it affects fruit quality.
Monitor new selections to identify their potential and understand their performance as potential future Sekoya variety.
Ensure inter- & intra-departmental communication platforms are in place to provide fruit quality information.
Ensure alignment in reporting from all members using the LIVIE brand. (Example: shelf life and pack out report data, weekly packhouse quality visits reports something new to be implemented; etc.)
Work closely with the Sekoya team and members to provide supply chain performance reports for EMEA market (example: air and sea freight percentage assumption updates, quality performance, market feedback…)
Ensure grower/variety allocation advice and approvals dependent on fruit quality, flavor and size are updated.
Maintains updated food safety certification for EMEA and works with other regions to align certifications for LIVIE brand.
What we are looking for?
At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Quality and Field Technician in Blueberries.
Strong communicator with a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm.
Knowledge of the fruit industry and social skills and team mentality you can establish and strongly maintain relationships in diverse cultures.
Willing to travel within EMEA and, occasionally, to other regions.
A completed Agricultural/Science degree.
Fluent in Spanish and English. Other languages are a plus.
Knowledge of and experience of operating in an international environment.
