Siemens Mobility Spain would like to get onboard a Planning and Scheduling Professional We are seeking a mid-level Planner with advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to join our Projects Execution team. The successful candidate will carry out planning and scheduling activities for complex international railway signaling projects, ensuring adherence to project milestones, budgets, and timelines. This role involves collaboration with project managers, planners, engineers, contract managers, and other stakeholders to develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules. This individual will be working across international projects based out of Tres Cantos - Madrid, Spain and will need to travel to site if required by the Project.

Key Responsibilities As a Planner, you will:
Support Project Delivery: Assist project managers in delivering projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with the overall delivery program and agreed milestones.Stakeholder Collaboration: Independently engage and collaborate with internal teams, regional units, consortium partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain schedule integrity and accurately map project status.Baseline Schedule Development: Create and review baseline schedules, incorporating narratives, risk assessments, cost/resource loading, and compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Adapt and develop tailored WBS aligned with project needs, deliverables, and Siemens processes, incorporating input from project management and engineering teams.Schedule Integration: Consolidate and manage multiple schedules, possibly across different tools, ensuring accurate critical path representation in the overall project schedule.Alignment with Objectives: Ensure schedules align with project cash flow, execution strategies, and resource management plans.Contract Compliance: Review and implement contract requirements related to scheduling and planning, ensuring their accurate application in new and existing projects.Progress Monitoring: Regularly update schedules, monitor progress, and prepare scenario analyses to anticipate potential challenges.Schedule Quality Management: Maintain high-quality standards in project schedules and ensure compliance with best practices.Delay Analysis and Mitigation: Identify root causes of delays and collaborate with project teams to employ methods such as Time Impact Analysis (TIA) for requesting extensions of time when necessary.Regulation Adherence: Monitor and ensure compliance with schedule management regulations, escalating issues when non-conformities occur.Reporting: Prepare and present detailed schedule reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing actionable insights.Interface Coordination: Document and manage internal and external schedule interfaces, ensuring alignment across technical, commercial, and contractual boundaries. Additional Responsibilities:Assist in resource management and financial forecasting.Support claims preparation and evidence gathering against third parties.Producing planning and related process guides. Key Skills and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.Experience:At least 4 years of experience in planning and scheduling for complex projects (railway experience is a plus but not mandatory).Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Power BI is a bonus.Language Skills: High proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish is advantageous.Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and resource management.Certifications: AACE, PMP, or PMI-SP certifications are a plus.Technical Acumen: Skilled in reading and interpreting complex technical specifications and requirements.
