We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's cloud businesses including Microsoft Azure, Bing, MSN, Office 365, OneDrive, Skype, Teams and Xbox Live.The Cloud Architecture Team is seeking a Systems Performance Modelling & Analysis Engineer with experience in workload profiling, characterization and in-depth workload performance analysis, performance modelling, and proposing innovations in ISA, CPU core and SoC microarchitecture, novel memory hierarchy, accelerators, network, and overall system architecture.The engineer will drive performance modelling and analysis to evaluate new technology integration and architecture opportunities for next generation cloud hardware platforms, as well as work with application partners to prepare cloud workloads for complex new hardware.QualificationsB.S. in Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience (M.S. or Ph.D. desirable) with a minimum of 4 (3 or 1) years of relevant experienceProficiency in computer/SoC architecture, micro-architecture, workload analysis, bottleneck analysis and performance trade-offsFunctional and Timing Model development and analysis experience for Arm, x86 and RISCV ISAsExcellent (written and verbal) communication and collaboration skills in EnglishC/C++ & Python programming skillsExperience using modern software development techniques and workflows such as continuous integration and continuous deliveryMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
