What You'll DoAs Fermentation Production Unit Lead, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving overall leadership of production of active ingredients linked to the fermentation platform, both internally produced at the Gava facility or abroad through tollers.
You'll lead the successful implementation of new capital investments with a focus on Safety, Quality & Operational Excellence to support the business growth.
What We're Looking ForThe purpose of this role is to be part of a dynamic team providing leadership to the Fermentation Team on the daily tasks, being accountable for the safe, compliant, and cost-effective large-scale manufacturing processes.
The main accountabilities are:
Be accountable for the direction, management, mentorship, and development of the fermentation team.Oversee 1-2 shifts within the Gava facility and tolling activities to fulfill product line demand.Ensure full compliance against all appropriate manufacturing and safety regulations such as local policy and procedures, cGMP, HSES standards, and all applicable regulations.Define and plan the production objectives, with the aim of improving the model and establishing operational methodologies in a rational way.Ensure good documentation practices, by overseeing and approving improvements to standard operating procedures, batch document instructions, and records.Ensure the appropriate accountability of cross-functional activities, such as engineering studies, validation studies and Tech Transfer studies.Coordinate the processes with other department heads of the company, with the aim of designing and implementing policies for the batch release.Collaborate with Procurement on commercial negotiations with vendors and tollers.Together with HSES, coordinate the actions of the machinery, work equipment and facilities to avoid accidents.Actively participate in the design, implementation and execution of the capital investments that pertain to the area.Lead the technical aspects of the capital projects, ensuring they are designed and installed safely and in accordance with applicable regulatory, corporate, and local standards.
