Wood Mackenzie Chemicals provides integrated commercial and strategic subscription research and consultancy services for the chemicals, fibres, films and plastics sectors. We provide insight combined with proprietary data, helping companies identify trends and take advantage of opportunities. Together, we inspire and innovate the markets we serve. The Chemicals team is expanding rapidly and is a key vector of growth for Wood Mackenzie.
About the RoleYou will be a key member of the Petrochemicals Research team, leading our European and Middle Eastern coverage of the olefins chain of products (ethylene, propylene, butadiene and/or related chemistries), including acting as a critical interface with feedstock supply analysis. You will evaluate the trends in olefins markets from traditional routes as well as sustainable circular routes such as chemical recycling and bio sources. You will coach other team members and junior analysts in the olefins and related chemistries. You will produce high-quality research in the form of thought-provoking reports, presentations and articles and will contribute to bespoke consulting projects. You will also participate in major industry events and conferences. You will research and validate markets, assets, and strategies and will assist in producing cost, price and margin forecasts at the regional and global levels. Through your research and responding to client queries, you will strengthen your network of contacts at key companies and industry associations. Your contribution to our industry-leading written reports, supply-demand models and presentations will be valued.
