The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORISGlobal and the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona are looking for a candidate research physician specializing in international health, travel medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine. The selected candidate will coordinate and manage the recruitment of participants for a European project study and provide medical care to international travelers.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIESParticipate in the clinical team at the International Health Department of the Hospital Clínic, particularly in research projects in Travel Medicine.Participation in the recruitment of participants of the ENDVOC study at Hospital Clínic.Lead the activities ensuring all study procedures are of high quality and carried out in accordance with good clinical practices, with a focus on the clinical management of patients under their supervision.Contribute to the analysis and improvement of study processes.EXPERIENCE AND TRAININGMedical Doctor with specialization in internal medicine or family medicine.Experience and knowledge on issues related to Global Health and travel medicine.Additional profiles will be considered if highly motivated researchers in other related disciplines.Previous experience conducting clinical research (desirable).Record of obtaining research funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals (desirable).LANGUAGESFluent in English.Spanish proficiency.CONDITIONSThe position is for a period of 8 months (until April 2025).
