Responsibilities: Recruiting, coaching, mentoring, providing feedback, and continuously improving the team to ensure the right mix of skills and knowledge. Directly managing the individuals within the team, being accountable for their performance, job satisfaction, and career development planning. Facilitating and driving the teams timely and high-quality delivery to production, taking ownership of ensuring that the team meets commitments and expectations. Cultivating a culture of ownership, collaboration, and a shared passion for delivering quality products. Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach. Contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems. Collaborate with other teams and departments to gather and/or share information relating to team activities. Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering or equivalent Solid experience in Backend development with PHP An individual with a background in Backend Engineering who possesses leadership qualities. Able to work onsite, hybrid or remote (if remote, contract-based in Europe, /- 2 CET timezone) A solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies and be able to guide and mentor the team in these areas. Capable of efficiently balancing their daily workload between leadership responsibilities, development tasks, and Scrum rituals. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills driven, proactive & enthusiastic with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
