We are looking for?a Photonic Integrated Circuits Characterization Manager to join our team. The main task will be the perform testing and characterization tasks for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) within an RD Photonics laboratory setting.
Tasks to be performed: Perform testing and characterization tasks for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) within an RD Photonics laboratory setting. Develop design of experiments (DoE) for sample testing and assemble opto-mechanical configurations. Contribute to the development of automated assembly and testing procedures for efficiency and scalability Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback for the improvement of PIC designs for ease of assembly and enhanced performance. Document assembly processes, testing results, and contribute to the creation of technical reports. Engage in diverse research domains and cutting-edge projects centered around Photonic Integrated Circuits and their foundational technology. Required skills, experience and candidate profile: MSc or PhD. degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in Photonics. Hands-on experience (1 year) in PIC assembly, fiber-optic alignment, and the use of optomechanical elements for micro-positioning. Familiarity and interest in prevailing trends in the Photonic Integrated Circuit industry and various technology platforms (such as SOI, SiN, PLC, InP, and hybrids). Experience with advanced optoelectronic instrumentation, as well as fiber-coupled and free-space optical components. Experience with optomechanical modeling and simulation software. Curiosity and bold attitude to venturing into novel RD domains and embracing state-of-the-art technologies. Strong proficiency in English. At ARQUIMEA, we value diversity and inclusion.
