(C-098 /24)Deadline for submission of applications: 3 December to 13 December.CATEGORY: Researcher PhD.OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Conservation, Management and Restoration of Biodiversity.DEDICATION: Full-time (37.5 hours/week).GROSS ANNUAL REMUNERATION: The employee shall receive a gross annual remuneration of EUR 37714.32.PROJECT TITLE: "Modelling pollutant transport across the soil-water-atmosphere continuum, and impacts on ecosystem services"DURATION: The duration of the contract will be linked to the budgetary availability of the research line: Functional aspects and edaphic ecotoxicity of metalliferous mining waste under the perspective of climate change.TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT:Bibliographic search for information on the UPCT case study (areas affected by metalliferous mining waste in the surroundings of the Sierra Minera de Cartagena-La Unión) and on the current existing knowledge on the processes of water and wind erosion in areas contaminated by metals.Field work to assess water and wind erosion rates in the UPCT case study.Analysis of soil and sediment samples.Supervision of students doing their TFE in the scope of the project.Writing and review of scientific articles.Participation in meetings, workshops and scientific congresses to present the results of the project.Participation in dissemination activities.Participation in consortium meetings (online and face-to-face).Elaboration and review of project deliverables.PLACE OF WORK: Laboratories of the Environmental Soil Science, Chemistry and Agricultural Technology Research Group at the School of Agricultural Engineering (ETSIA), the Institute of Plant Biotechnology (IBV) and the Tomás Ferro Agri-Food Experimental Station (ESEA) of the UPCT.CRITERIA AND CRITERIA TO BE ASSESSED:Academic training (25%): Academic record in the qualifications required for access to the contract.Specific training (10%): Other courses and activities of interest for the contract
