The research activities have been focused on the areas of materials for transport, energy, and health care and the Institute has state-of-the-art facilities for processing, characterization and simulation of advanced materials.DescriptionAdvanced characterisation techniques based on in situ electron back-scatterer diffraction and high-resolution digital image correlation in combination with diffraction contrast tomography will be used to analyze the deformation and fracture micromechanisms of advanced Mg alloys.RequirementsThe candidate should hold a BEng/MSc in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physical Metallurgy or related field.Fluent written/spoken English is mandatory.Experience of mechanical characterisation as well as microscopy techniques will be valued.ConditionsSelected candidates will be offered a full-time contract during two months with social security coverage to work under the supervision of the group leader.
