Offer DescriptionWe offer one position for a PhD student in electronic sensor technology.The core idea of the PhD student position is to work in the development of ultra-low power gas sensors based on micro-LED technology, suitable for remote environmental monitoring and autonomous operation (energy harvesting, wireless communications).
The development combines semiconductor microtechnology (GaN-based LEDs and photodiodes), sensor material processing (metal oxides, colorimetric inks) and accurate device testing.The person will be dedicated to:Device fabrication.Integration of sensing materials with micro devices.Electronic test of devices and sensor calibration.Integration of devices in IoT systems.Some experience in applied research is required, e.g.
